New Materials

Cellular or spongy silicone has great advantages over compact silicone:

Lighter
Higher compression
Better sealing
Plus of insulation

It also keeps the excellent properties of traditional silicone, which are resistance to extreme temperatures (-50°C to +230°C), ozone, ageing and chemical products.

Applications

  1. Due to its spongy nature, this type of material is particularly used in those applications where tightness, insulation, damping ability and compression recovery are required.

For example: in the processes of vacuum forming or blow moulding of plastic materials.

  1. 2. It is also used in those applications which require high absorption of vibration, low thermal conductivity and anti-slipping needs. Being of silicone, it is the ideal option for all those applications where other types of rubber do not resist because of temperature, ageing or freezing.

For example: in the sealing of machines which work at extreme temperatures, such as ultra freezers or different types of ovens for foodstuff or laboratories.

  1. Finally, because Rosario Burletes uses silicones approved by the U.S. FDA, manufactured pieces can also be used for joints and other pieces of the food industry.

For example: in the final packaging, for commercialisation, of products such as sausages, cheese, cold meat, burgers, etc.
